Volunteers Needed in Rochester

I received this email from Kevin and Kristine (Hedberg) White. If you live in or around Rochester, they could really use your help. Send me photos from the event and I will post them on the blog.

Hello Everyone,

As most of you know Kristina and I are the Volunteer Coordinators for the American Diabetes Associations Tour de Cure. This is our 2nd year in this role and we are looking for some help. The Tour is only a month away (June 8) and we are short some volunteers and are calling on our friends and family to volunteer and come join us at Mendon Ponds Park. Here is what is in it for you - Lunch from your choice of either Panera Bread or Outback Steakhouse, a wine tent, a free t-shirt, live music, and a day of being in the sun for a good cause!

In America, 20.8 million people suffer from diabetes, it can complicate pregnancy, lead to heart disease and stroke, cause blindness and in some cases lead to amputation. Last years event raised over $400,000, we placed in the top 5 nationwide in fundraising and this year we are looking to be bigger, but we need your help to do that. We need everything from setting up on Saturday, to rider registration, cheerleaders, food distribution, return rider check in and much more. The event is June 8th, a Sunday, and if you have an hour or four, send me an e-mail and I'll tell you what positions we need help in.
Thank you,
